1. “Shuimu Scholars” Program
The “Shuimu Scholars” program is a high-level young talent training program of Tsinghua University, aiming to cultivate a group of outstanding young scholars who are fully devoted to academics, and innovative, with a strong sense of social responsibility and international vision. The program provides a development platform with a high starting point for young talents, and also develops a comprehensive training and assurance system for young talents according to their own needs. The university organizes the selection twice a year. The number of scholars is no more than 100 each year at the initial stage, and may gradually increase in the future.

2. Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program
The Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program (the “PITSP”), combined with key scientific research bases such as national laboratories and aiming at national major strategies, strategic advanced technologies and frontier fields of basic science, selects a group of outstanding fresh or recently graduated doctoral students through the procedures of personal application, recommendation of prospective stations and expert review, and grant special funds for them to conduct postdoctoral research, striving to accelerate the training of a number of world-class innovative talents.

3. Outstanding Postdoctoral Foundation of Center for Life Sciences
The Center for Life Sciences has set up a postdoctoral foundation to grant special funds for outstanding postdoctoral fellows of international competitiveness relying on all life science and related interdisciplinary laboratories of Tsinghua University and Peking University.

4. ICSB Postdoctoral “Distinguished Scholar” Program
Candidates of the “Distinguished Scholar” program will participate in or take charge of specific research projects set up by the center under the joint guidance of several PIs from ICSB. Candidates shall meet the basic requirements for postdoctoral fellows. Each session lasts for 2 years, and participation is limited to two sessions at most. When the period expires, outstanding candidates can apply to join the center as long-term senior researchers in related projects.

5. China Postdoctoral Foundation
The China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, proposed by Mr. Li Zhengdao and according to the decision of Mr. Deng Xiaoping, was established in 1985, which is a national research foundation specially set up for postdoctoral fellows at the station, aiming to drive outstanding postdoctoral fellows with development potential and innovation capability to carry out innovative research during their service at the station, and build a team of high-level innovative postdoctoral talents. The types of funding are:
(I) General Funding
General funding refers to the start-up or supplementary funding given for postdoctoral fellows to conduct independent innovation research during their service at the station. The targets of funding are determined through corresponding review by experts. The standards for natural science funding are divided into two levels: 120,000 yuan for level 1, and 80,000 yuan for level 2.
(II) Special Funding
Special funding has two types: special funding (before service at the station), and special funding (during service at the station). Special funding (before service at the station) is designed to attract recently graduated outstanding doctors from home and abroad to enter the station for innovative research in frontier fields. The recipients of funding shall complete the entry procedures within 3 months after the list is released; if overdue, it will be deemed to be an automatic waiver of eligibility. The grant standard is 180,000 yuan. Special funding (during service at the station) is designed to encourage outstanding postdoctoral fellows at the station to enhance innovation capability. The grant standard for natural science is 180,000 yuan.

6. Dispatch and Academic Exchange Project of Postdoctoral international Exchange Program
(I) Introduction Project of Postdoctoral International Exchange Program
The Introduction Project of Postdoctoral International Exchange Program is designed to grant funds for outstanding foreign (overseas) doctors and those who study abroad to come to (return to) China for postdoctoral research at the university. The term of funding is two years, and the incoming doctors shall warrant that they will conduct postdoctoral research at the university for at least 2 years. The funds shall be jointly borne by the Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee and the university, where the Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee will grant 200,000 yuan for each person per year, and the university will grant 100,000 yuan for each person per year, including living expenses, housing allowance, social insurance and international travel to and from China during the postdoctoral research. The incoming doctors will be managed by the university as postdoctoral fellows at the station.
(II) Dispatch Project of Postdoctoral International Exchange Program
The Dispatch Project of Postdoctoral International Exchange Program is designed to grant funds for outstanding postdoctoral fellows and prospective fresh doctoral graduates to conduct postdoctoral research at foreign (overseas) colleges and universities, research institutions and enterprises in their superior subject areas for a period of two years. The funding is 300,000 yuan per person, mainly used to pay the living expenses, housing allowance, social insurance and round-trip travel expenses during the postdoctoral research; other funds will be borne by the foreign (overseas) accepting units or supervisors.
(III) Academic Exchange Project of Postdoctoral International Exchange Program
The Academic Exchange Project of Postdoctoral International Exchange Program is designed to grant funds for outstanding postdoctoral fellows to carry out academic exchange activities abroad. The funding is 30,000 yuan per person, mainly used to pay the travel expenses, accommodation expenses, conference expenses and other expenses in connection with academic exchange activities abroad.

7. Hong Kong Scholars Program
The “Hong Kong Scholars Program” selects Mainland doctors every year to conduct postdoctoral research as contracted researchers of designated Hong Kong universities under the guidance of Hong Kong supervisors for a period of two years. The funding is 300,000 yuan and 300,000 Hong Kong dollars per person, mainly used to pay the living expenses, housing allowance, research subsidy, social insurance and round-trip travel expenses.

8. Sino-German Postdoctoral Exchange Program
The Sino-German Postdoctoral Exchange Program selects outstanding young researchers who have recently received their doctoral degrees to Germany for postdoctoral research, and grants funds for these researchers to carry out joint postdoctoral training at 7 research centers, including the German Electron-Synchrotron and the Forschungszentrum Jülich, under the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres. The number of funding recipients is up to 50, and the term of exchange is 2 years. The Chinese side will grant 300,000 yuan per person, and the relevant German research center will grant 1,500 euros per person per month as a scholarship, which can be used to pay the living allowance, health and accident insurance, research and travel expenses.

9. Macao Young Scholars Program
The Macao Young Scholars Program selects Mainland doctors every year to conduct postdoctoral research at designated Macao institutions in their superior subject areas under the guidance of supervisors for a period of 2 years. The funding is 360,000 MOP and 300,000 yuan per person, mainly used to pay the living expenses, housing allowance, social insurance and round-trip travel expenses during their stay in Macao. The Macao institutions assist in providing paid medical service plans, and provide school dormitories as appropriate (accommodation expenses shall be borne by themselves). The supervisors will be responsible for all other research expenses (e.g. consumables, laboratory equipment, travel expenses, costs for attending international conferences, etc.).
