October 23 --- Yong Qiu, President of Tsinghua University, visited the SPS to conduct research on discipline planning, student training and platform construction, encouraging the School to further determine its development orientation and path, establish a discipline system with distinctive features, reasonable layout and international competitiveness, and boldly explore new development models and mechanisms.
 
At the meeting, Dean Sheng Ding reported on the overall situation and challenges encountered in the development of the School. Prof. Ding said, SPS in the future will further improve the course planning, optimize the discipline layout around the goal of "Build a first-class level of biomedical research, establishing a wide-ranging international influence", cultivating high-end talents, deepen disease cognition, promote new drug discovery, lead industrial upgrading and strive to accelerate to enter into the international frontiers.
