Research Interests
Current research focuses on design and application of novel nanocarriers and polymer-based systems as drug delivery systems. In recent studies, the new modified polymer-based systems are developed to enhance the transfection and expression efficiency of DNA or siRNA in EGFR-overexpressing tumor cell. We also study utilizing nanotechnology to improve the solubility and bioavailability of poorly soluble drugs, and give these drugs specific characteristics like targeting, sustained or controlled release characteristics. We seek ways to use these nano delivery systems to improve the delivery efficiency of drugs, thus achieving the significant treatment effect for therapy of major diseases such as cancer.
